Independent Timber Mer chant s Cooperative Lt d.(ITM) brings together over 90 owner – operated stores across the country. Their support office is based in Auckland and works to improve the channel between suppliers and stores, leveraging the combined power of the stores to bring pricing and other benefits to members of the cooperative. ITM needed to replace their largely-spreadsheet-based product information management system with a modern, industry- leading SaaS system.
The old system was no longer able to cope with the volume of data needing t o be processed, and the new system needed to bring control and streamlining into the process.
The new system also needed to integrate seamlessly with their existing Net Suite ERP, and their new Data Lake Data Warehouse.
The ITM team has had some challenging implementation experiences with vendors in the past, so were looking for an experienced, reliable partner that could get the job done with the minimum of fuss.
Stibo Systems Master Data Management ( MDM) SaaS solution provided ITM with a repository for maintaining product data, supplier data and store data, and a workflow that will ensure that data is submitted, enriched, and approved in a controlled and efficient manner. Simple integrations will ensure the data is kept in synch with ITM’s upstream and down stream systems.
Duco Consultancy managed the implementation of the solution, designed the configurations, integrations, and data migrations, created the configurations and integrations, and they ensured that everything worked together. Duco Consultancy also provided expert guidance and they shared plenty of real-world best- practice information with ITM, based on their experiences with other clients such as OfficeMax.
The MDM implementation will bring an entirely new approach t o ITM’s product data – ensuring products information is reliable, accurate and complete, and that changes are able to be quickly delivered to stores and to ITM’s NetSuite ERP. The new system will also allow suppliers to interact directly with the system and to deliver information on their products in real-time. As a platform for the future, the MDM implementation offers unlimited possibilities for revolutionizing.
