We are looking for outstanding Scrum Masters who are keen to join our young and fast-growing consultancy firm located in Auckland.

Our Scrum Master candidates will be experienced and energetic. They will be the servant leader for their team(s) by ensuring clear communication, helping the team close its stories, complete sprints on time and drive the appropriate Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/etc.). They will be focused on predictable, quality delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be accountable for guiding, coaching, training in scrum methodologies and assisting the team in Scrum / Agile principles and driving process improvement.

  • You will work with the team to deliver value and coordinate within and outside of the team to facilitate the completion of the team’s backlog and guiding the team to adding stories to its backlog as appropriate.

  • You will deliver effective methods and practices for managing and resolving impediments

  • You will help the team clarify goals and actions to achieve them

  • You will coach and support Product Owners in effective techniques for backlog creation, management and refinement

  • You will facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Dailey Scrum, Sprint Review/Demo, Sprint Retrospective etc)

  • You will make sprint and release progress visible through visual information radiators (e.g. burndown charts)


REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with scaled-Agile approaches such as the Scrum at Scale, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Disciplined Agile Development (DAD), or other iterative frameworks at-scale.

  • Recent and extensive experience in a leading role working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, BSA’s, Multivendor, Developers, Designers, Test Engineers etc.)

  • A servant leadership style that empowers team members to maximize their talents while setting clear expectations.

  • Proven success in building strong relationships, managing stakeholder expectations

  • Exemplary communication skills and strong business acumen to understand corporate strategy and present actionable findings to senior leadership

  • Agile Certification from Scrum Alliance, ICAgile, SAFe or other Agile organization.

  • Expert experience in managing Agile and hybrid/plan-driven programs

  • Experience with Agile Product Lifecycle tools (e.g. JIRA, Rally, VersionOne, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
