We are looking for outstanding Test Analysts who are keen to join our young and fast-growing consultancy firm located in Auckland.

We are looking to fill positions for Test Analysts with both automated and manual testing experience.  Our clients are looking for test analysts comfortable working on either test domain. Applicants should have a broad test experience in a variety of environments – from bespoke legacy applications to leading-edge mobile applications, using a variety of test tools and techniques.

Our Test Analysts must have strong Agile experience. They must have proven ability to resolve the ambiguity. They must work well in cross-functional teams. Preference will be given to candidates with strong ‘T-shaped’ skill sets.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop test plans/test cases and estimates

  • Enable efficient testing of software by developing and maintaining a test automation framework

  • Definition, implementation, and execution of functional, regression, performance and acceptance test strategies on highly iterative and collaborative projects in an Agile environment.

  • Log defects and track to closure, working with development teams to establish defect validity, cause and retesting as required

 

REQUIREMENTS

​

  • Sound knowledge on the black box and white box testing

  • Understanding of manual, performance and automation testing – expertise in manual and automation test tools and frameworks

  • Functional and non-functional testing experience

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience on API / Web Service (WebLogic, API Connect, Web Services etc..), desktop applications and mobile devices testing

  • Experience in DB testing and in writing simple- to medium-complexity SQL queries

  • Experience with automation tools such as TOSCA, SOAP-UI, JMeter, Selenium, Cucumber

  • Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming

  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental concepts of Continuous Integration (preferably with Jenkins)

  • ATDD techniques to create a robust/reliable /repeatable automation test bed

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

  • Able to work in an open team space/collaborative environment

  • Experience with QA best practices

  • Excellent oral and written communication skill

  • A team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources
