Oracle Finance Functional Consultant

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage the definition of functional requirements for General Ledger, Accounts reconciliation & Reporting, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets and Accounts Payable as a subject matter expert to understand system requirements and ensure successful solution delivery.
  • Gather system, data requirements through a variety of techniques (workshops, interviews, etc) and translating these into functional solutions (configurations).
  • Undertake business analysis workshops and create functional requirements document, functional design documents and contribute to sprint plans.
  • contribute to the solution design and functional set-up and execution of functional project work streams.
  • demonstrate the ability to work systematically and logically to analyze situations, resolve problems, identify causes and anticipate implications.

Person specification:

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Commerce, Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science or any other related subjects.
  • Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree in Business.
  • Oracle Cloud certification.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Minimum 2 years + experience in Oracle ERP Finance projects with at least 1 Cloud ERP Project delivery
  • Knowledgeable about the business processes and systems around Enterprise Finance management, and/or Procurement & Supply Chain is essential.
  • Deep functional background with relevant experience of using reporting tools and understanding of how Oracle ERP is used in the business operations.
  • Oracle Cloud Finance certification in GL/ AR/ FA/ AP
  • Operational Support - required to support Senior Managers in deploying solutions
  • Experience working for large MNC or Big 4 consulting practice
